If you’re like me you spend countless hours slaving away your life in a cube. In my case I don’t even have the luxury of windows…I work in a closet…literally. Of course this actually saves me from all the annoying habits of my fellow office rats.

Years of cube life has helped compile a list of the more annoying bad office habits. It is always hard to say which ones are truly the most annoying but I’ve thrown together what I think are up there on every ones lists!

Think about this car next time you are struggling to fill your tank or your local government representative tells you “Americans just need to get used to not doing the traveling they have come accustom too” or that “cheap, affordable transportation” may be a thing of the past. This is too true to be funny.

The next time you hear a politician use the word ‘billion’ in a casual manner, think about whether you want the ‘politicians’ spending YOUR tax money. A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but here is a list that does a good job of putting that figure into some perspective.

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.

Separately, Prime Minister John Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation’s mosques.

Many Americans are terrified about speaking the truth when someone else might become offended but I think that there are times when one MUST risk offending others. I completely agree with the sentiments as stated by the Australian PM. This is America and we, just like every other country, have traditions and customs which seem to be slowly eradicated as we become more “politically correct”. We seem in such an all-fired hurry to prove to the world how “enlightened” we are by being the uber “I’m OK, You’re OK So lets go save the world” society that we are turning our own into a soulless, generic version of the proud people we once were.

Today I thought I’d share this letter allegedly written by Donald Ruppert of Burlington, IA to his congressman, Tom Harkin. While I have no idea if this is letter represents truth or more internet fodder, I am very intrigued by the sentiments voiced.

As a Hispanic American, I find myself at odds with most of my fellow Hispanics on this issue. Unlike the vast majority of Hispanics in this country, I do not support the notion that illegal aliens should be handed over rights and privileges many, many American citizens do not enjoy.

While I do not propose we round up every last illegal and simply ship them out, I think it equally ridiculous to argue that we should just hand over citizenship, licenses and such. I don’t claim to have a great idea for the solution to all our immigration problems but I submit to you that just because I don’t how to fix something DOES NOT MEAN I CAN’T SEE IT’S BROKEN!

I hope you enjoy this letter as much as I did. I found it to be quite humorous.

This ‘Letter of Apology’ was written by Lieutenant General Chuck Pitman, US Marine Corps, Retired.

It is the epitome of exactly how I feel in regards to the current world state of things. It’s nice to know that there are others out there who share my convictions.

As amazing as it may sound, we have the technology to drive our existing cars on water. I first heard of this some 4 to 6 years ago while watching a Discovery channel documentary on cars and the future of cars. I learned many interesting facts about the future of cars…cars that drive themselves, cars that will be able to mend themselves when dented or even change color on command, but by far the one thing I learned that day, that really stuck with me was the fact that there was a man in our own country who had learned to burn water for fuel.

Jimmy Klein was the real deal. I watched engrossed as this man took what looked like an ordinary blow torch and cut or burned several objects of varying size and materials, with far less effort than a traditional acetylene torch would entail. It was like he had trapped the sun at the tip of his torch and even more amazing was that the torch remained cool to the touch even while burning through a think slab of metal or iron. It wasn’t long after he made this amazing discovery that he applied the same principle to his car.

The other day I went to Starbucks for coffee and I was only in there for about 5 minutes. When I came out there was a cop writing out a parking ticket. I went up to him and said, “Come on, man, how about giving a guy a break”? He ignored me and continued writing the ticket.

I upped the ante and called him a “Nazi.” He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tires. So I called him a “donut-eating Gestapo jerk.” He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes.

When I was a kid, adults used to bore me to tears with their tedious diatribes about how hard things were when they were growing up; what with walking twenty-five miles to school every morning … uphill; BOTH ways. Yadda, yadda, yadda.

And I remember promising myself that when I grew up, here was no way in hell I was going to lay bunch of crap like that on kids about how hard I had it and how easy they’ve got it! But now that I’m over the ripe old age of thirty, I can’t help but look around and notice the youth of today.

You’ve got it so easy! I mean, compared to my childhood, you live in a damn Utopia! And I hate to say it but you kids today you don’t know how good you’ve got it!

I mean, when I was a kid we didn’t have the internet. If we wanted to know something, we had to go to the damn library and look it up ourselves, in the card catalog!! There was no email!! We had to actually write somebody a letter …with a pen! Then you had to walk all the way across the street and put it in the mailbox and it would take like a week to get there!
