So it looks like all the high moral outrage over sex only applies when it won’t sell newspapers because here is the NY Post front page news item from march 14th - “Bad Girl” Ashley Alexandra Dupre, the high-priced call girl known as Kristen aka Eliot Spitzer prostitute. Yes. That’s right. This is the front page, and HUGE pictorial spread, of a prominent NY City “news”paper. War? Housing Crisis? Recession? Presidential Campaign??? Sure, some might consider that important news, but not more so than a young, half naked prostitute! C’mon, look at her! That’s news, Baby!

And let’s not overlook what kind of competition this story creates in the publishing world. The media just made a hooker a major national celebrity with book deals, song downloads, etc…so we all better jump on this bandwagon before sex goes back to being dirty and something to be shunned. Here comes Kristin Davis and a sex tape, no wait, just porn pictures. Hmmm…doesn’t she have a movie coming out soon??

What about Audrina Patridge? The sexy young starlet of MTV’s “The Hills” pseudo-fame. She posed for Playboy many moons ago but all of a sudden these pictures come out? Weren’t they available for sometime now? Why do they suddenly appear?

You may believe it’s all a coincidence. But I think it’s easier to assume that these celebrity private matters becoming public are all part of some managers master plan to keep their B-List stars in the media limelight. If you can make a nobody hooker a major sensation, that how could these things not help a struggling starlett?

Is this going to save Lindsay Lohan’s career? Who knows, but it sure will keep her name in the press!

When major media outlets are tripping over themselves to promote porn, it’s kind of difficult to take them serious when they offer their opinions on war, politics and death.
